I wrote a song called "Jewel In The Mud" that was featured in the movie "See You In Valhalla". The song was inspired by my friend who's wife passed away from cancer. You can listen to my song by clicking here, and read the lyrics below.
Jewel in the Mud
"My love she smells like the sweetest flower that the world has redeemed in its finest hour
My love she gracefully enters this way she's got the keys to the heavens but she wants to stay
The stars in the sky in the sea of outer space were whipping up a tale between mercury and fate
My love she's laid like the queen of spades for the man in me she dreamed to wake
My love grew sick in a winter freeze, it came real quick and it lasted til Spring
By September of that Summer she was up against the wall with nowhere else to go but into the Fall
My love she'd wave to the saints 'round her bed existing in the spaces 'tween the living and the dead
The words she left me still run through my blood you'll always find the most radiant jewels in the mud
Now my love she springs like the fairest creature with invisible wings that are there to greet ya
My love she's free like the sea and the sand with a rainbow at her feet and a halo in her hand"
